To those who believe that death is not the end of their existence, there could be some effort made to make a place for themselves in the afterlife if they believe such preparation is possible. The following description addresses those who take such a possibility seriously and hopes to motivate them to make some effort. As already mentioned, suprisingly religious people are passive and refuse to make goals and decisions about what will become of them in the afterlife. A member of the Brotherhood gave the following example. Imagine you owned multiple houses. One house is put together perfectly, clean, well decorated, comfortable while the others are broken, dirty, and falling apart. These other houses have been neglected and are in terrible shape. Eventually, you must move out of the comfortable house and into one of the others. Should you continue to neglect the others until you are forced out of the current house and into one of the other houses? Or should you be prepared to move and have a moving plan and destination? Most people take no responsibility for their own futures. The religious ones leave it in the hands of religious professionals. They night believe that Jesus and their pastor will pray them into heaven. Few pastors have such power and gods have free will. They may or may not want them in their heavens. Because of the lack of preparation, many people suffer going from world to world, from birth to death to birth repeatedly until they prepare for their future during life. This is why learning about inner states and inner realities while alive in the physical body is important. The Temples of Wisdom were created by indiviudals who developed skills in meditation and various mystical religious practices that allowed them to control their existence following their deaths. The assumption here is that people should explore meditative practices during life and seek to access supernatural worlds and spiritual guides and entities while alive so these relationships could continue following their deaths. This could help orient them allowing them to die consciously, gain guidance, and make important choices about their futures in the afterlife.
