The Brotherhood of Light

Experiments and New Approaches
to Healing, Creativity, and Meditation

The Brotherhood is a creative force of education and experimentation when it comes to helping souls develop spiritual skills and purify themselves. They have had literally hundreds of years to expand their artistic, visualization, meditative, and healing methods and techniques always looking for new creative ways to help souls resolve disputes, dissolve traumas, and develop to access deeper spiritual states.

Here are some new developments at the Brotherhood.

Recently, they have been upgrading the entrance to the lodge with collections of music and songs. They have created a kind of spiritual jukebox from songs that visitors have shared with them. This music can then help first-time visitors feel happy, relaxed, and can help evoke spiritual feelings in them.

When more knowledgeable visitors arrive, they sometimes ask these visitors to share the inspirational music that they know and then add these selections to their music collection. The Brotherhood can play music that they believe might help first-time visitors relax and be able to communicate more effectively so they can be helped in various ways.

Recently, the Brotherhood has also been working on new types of meditation gardens. They have visualized fragrant flowers and arranged them in cosmic patterns. There, souls can enter into labyrinths of flowers and learn to be guided by the inner senses such as sound and smell. These teach souls new methods of intuitive perception and concentration.

The Brotherhood has a previously mentioned trauma center where various kinds of negative influences and traumas are stored once they are convinced to leave the minds of souls suffering from these negative influences. Repeating traumatic experiences can take on a life of their own, develop something similar to ego defenses, and sometimes resist leaving disturbed souls.

These living traumas or negative entities are sometimes convinced by counselors to depart by offering them an ideal world where they can live out their destructive fantasies. These environments and their new residents are placed in storage units in the Brotherhood's trauma area. Recently, the Brotherhood has been working on ways to miniaturize and organize their trauma storage units into smaller areas somewhat like a trauma library.

The interns and trainees learning psychological counseling can study various kinds of living traumas in this library and learn to deal with them in the future during counseling sessions. They can then use the knowledge derived from this study of these stored traumas to help souls who need purification.

In terms of methods of purification, the Brotherhood has also been experimenting with "manifest your desires" therapy. The Tibetan Buddhist teacher Chogyam Trumpa had people act out their desires in his ashram and this resulted in people doing various forms of violence and sexual attacks. The Brotherhood has people visualize these events but not act them out. This therapy helps souls gain peace from hidden desires and experiencing them reveals their limitations, freeing the souls from their influence. Often, more superficial desires are revealed to be covering up other issues that can then be later dealt with in therapy.

Another experimental method of meditation involves creating musical pathways through clouds that souls can travel to connect them with spiritual sound currents that carry them to spiritual worlds in meditation. Following pathways of changing sounds like music can be an entryway to what some Indian teachers describe as "unstruck sound" which is also called Nada Brahman or Shabda. These are sounds that flow from higher spiritual worlds that are not created by normal methods using the voice or instruments. Souls can ride these currents of sound to carry them to higher states of consciousness.

The Brotherhood has also experimented with group classes for those who have recently died rather than doing individual counseling. There are so many people who have died that need a basic education concerning issues of spirituality and the nature of life, death, and reincarnation.

They have created a waiting area that is like a museum with film clips. However, instead of focusing on history and artifacts, they are showing films on the process of death and various options on what comes next for these souls.

These can sometimes be helpful to those souls who initially refuse to admit that they are dead and believe they are asleep or in a coma. Some of these souls eventually understand that they are dead and become open to learning. They are then willing listen to and interact with counselors.

The Brotherhood's counselors watch how they react to the new information. Some recently dead souls are interested and want to know more.

Others turn to denial and refuse to admit they are dead. These souls are left alone and will eventually undergo a blind or unguided automatic process of reincarnation. Others who think that they might be dead turn to their gods in prayer and do not want any more interaction. These souls are also allowed to make their own way whether to their god's heaven or to a new incarnation.

But interested people are given additional classes, lectures, and sometimes counseling. These souls who can be reached are able to gain additional understanding of their situation and the Brotherhood can sometimes make a valuable contribution to their spiritual education in this case

The Brotherhood has visualizers who create land, buildings, classrooms, and counseling centers. Recently these visualizers have been experimenting with creation of islands using a method that mimics the ways such islands are created on earth. The visualizers created a volcano on a small island in the midst of a large lake. The process of creation involves the volcano adding to the island with each new eruption increasing its size. The eruptions create different types of surfaces like crystals, salt flats, black rock, and bedrock.

The creation of the lava, the basic material of the island's creation, expresses different desires and sometimes limits the boredom of the visualizers. It leads eventually to creation of complex landscapes. The visualizers can watch the process of evolution of the island into unpredictable forms and landscapes without having to control and define every detail. It is a new and fun form of creativity which does not resemble previous approaches to visualization and seems to work well.

These are a few of the many experiments and improvements to the Brotherhood's methods which document the evolution of their way-station for teaching, counseling, and healing souls.
